Computer Assistance is an independently owned firm and we use the web based program of “ipssupport” to have you remotely connect in to one of our technician’s computers for on-line help. Personal – Identifiable Information

Computer Assistance will not collect any personal-identifiable information about you unless you provide it to us voluntarily. Computer Assistance respects the privacy of every individual who visits computerast.com and will not sell or publish your name, mailing address, and/or email address. When you do provide Computer Assistance with your personal information, we:

Financial Information

Computer Assistance will ask you for certain information such as credit card number, expiration date and 3-digit security code for our remote support help. Computer Assistance will use this information for processing of your order and will share this information with our credit card processing companies. The Merchant Services Companies have their own privacy and data collection practices. Computer Assistance shares in none of their independent policies. Computer Assistance will take steps to determine whether the credit card number you have provided is a valid credit card number. In the event, you have not provided us with a valid credit card number or with insufficient credit upon request, you will be in violation of this agreement and we will terminate this agreement with you. You will automatically be billed on your credit card for the fees to the Service plan you have used.

Information Collected Automatically

Computer Assistance may collect no personal-identifiable information about your internet and email usage, such as the domain name in which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an American Online account), the date and time you accessed our web site and the Internet address of the web site from which you linked directly to us. This information will not be linked to your personal-identifiable information, shared with third parties or used for any marketing or promotional purposes.

Information We Place Automatically On Your Hard Drive

When you view our Web Site, information will be stored on your hard drive in the form of a “Cookie” or similar file. Using your Internet browser, you can erase Cookies from your computer’s hard drive, block all Cookies, or receive a warning before a Cookie is stored. Through encryption, the personal information you enter is converted in to code that is then securely dispatched over the Internet. Use of “ipssupport” is subject to all applicable local, state, national and international laws and regulations.
